Homemade Candle Jar Gift

One of the gifts I received this Christmas was a candlemaking kit. I've been having so much fun learning this new hobby and trying out fragrances. I recently whipped up a Wild Berry scented candle. The mason jar gives a country, homespun feel, don't you think? And for this paper crafter, a simple glass jar was just begging to be wrapped up nice and pretty. ;)

I used some supplies in my stash - the blues and purples of SEI Autumn's Smile collection, part of last fall's Club SEI Kit (and still available to members here) - to make a gift tag and notecard. The perforated journaling cards and stickers included in the collection make it easy to create a cute gift in a snap. (A quick tip: Don't forget to adhere solid cardstock to the back of the tag to cover up the opposite print on the journaling card. This step also makes the tag extra sturdy.)

The blue mini envelope, also part of the collection, is the perfect size for a note to send along with the gift. I simply added some ribbons to the jar, attached the tag, and this candle gift is ready to go.

Beyond candles, the same idea could be applied to homemade jam, soaps or other mason jar gifts. What homemade gifts will you wrap with your SEI supplies? Share your ideas or projects in the comments below!
